The Judges...

​​Sarah Pacheco is an international recording artist who has been singing since she was a child, winning several European song festivals. Recently, she has focused on performing a repertoire of standards backed by orchestras in places such as Denmark, Portugal and even Mississauga where she headlined at the Living Arts Centre.



​Paulo Marques has been performing since he was 13, playing drums and keyboards. He is a graduate of Trebas Music Institute where he studied music production. He has produced many artists including his own band Chaves D’Ouro, who will be releasing their CD soon. In 2008, he was selected as one of the 10 finalists in the LusaVox singing competition, performing worldwide on RTPi.



​Laura Thomas has been singing and performing since the age of 7.  She is trained as a classical singer and is an award winning pop singer. Laura has lived and performed in Canada, the USA and Germany. She has recorded three CD’s of original music and as a talented backing singer has performed with Amanda Marshall, Vince Gill, Jeff Healey and many others. She also performs as a fun children’s character called COUSIN MOLLY, performing mainly in schools, daycares and libraries in the GTA.



​Stephanie Tavares has been singing professionally for about 8 years and is graduate of the Humber College Music Program. She has released 1 album and has performed across Canada and the Carribbean.



​Hernani Raposo is a musician, composer, arranger, conductor and producer. He owns Midi-Tech Studios and is one of the most sought after producers in the Portuguese community. Hernani also works with many international recording artists, having earned 3 platinum records with Mexican record company, Discos Musart. ADD OTHER RECORD COMPANY INFOCurrently most of his live performances are devoted to playing the Portuguese guitar for Fado. The adult winner of this contest will be recording their CD at Hernani’s Midi-Tech Studios. 



​Zack Werner is someone that most of you will know from Canadian Idol. Zack has been involved in music since he was a child and began working as a musician in his early teens. He has worked for Capitol Records, MCA and is co-founder of Venus Corporation, a company which supplies artist management and has its own record label which is affiliated with EMI. Zack is a musician, producer, writer, manager, lawyer and works in artist development. He is arguably one of the most important people in the Canadian music industry.
